The full cheek snaffle has narrow arms which project above and below the rings, preventing the mouthpiece from sliding in the horses mouth and to emphasize the tuning aid. The waterford mouthpiece is comprised of a series of ball shaped links, creating a movable mouthpiece, to prevent leaning, taking hold of the bit and jaw setting.
